Pluto's New Moon: Five Fun Facts
Pluto's New Moon: Five Fun Facts
By Mike Wall | SPACE.com – Wed, Jul 11, 2012
Scientists announced the discovery of a new moon around Pluto today
(July 11), bringing the dwarf planet's number of known satellites to
five.
The newfound Pluto moon was spotted by researchers using NASA's Hubble Space
Telescope. The instrument has also found three other Pluto
satellites — P4 last year, and Nix and Hydra in 2005. (The dwarf planet's
other known moon, Charon, was discovered in 1978 at the United States Naval
Observatory Flagstaff Station in Arizona.)
Here are a few fun facts about the new moon:Its name is a mouthful

Do Pluto and its largest moon form a 'double planet'?
By The Week's Editorial Staff | The Week – 17 hrs ago
In 2006, Pluto lost its
status as a full-fledged planet and was controversially reclassified as a "dwarf planet,"
causing more than a few flustered high school science teachers across
the country to reach for the Advil. But Pluto's new designation hardly
ended the debate. Just last week, a newly discovered moon was spotted
hovering in Pluto's orbit, giving the celestial body at least five moons
on record. And that got space junkies thinking: With a multitude of
hard-to-categorize rocky satellites flying around Pluto, is it possible
the 1,421-mile-long world and one of its moons are actually both
planets? Here's what you should know:
Remind me again: Why isn't Pluto considered a planet?
The little icy rock at the edge of our solar system was stripped of its planet-hood in 2006 when an international body of scientists decided to redefine what a full-fledged planet is. The new definition stipulates that a planet must orbit the sun, be large enough to "become round due to the force of its own gravity," and "dominate its neighborhood," says National Geographic. But Pluto is hardly the neighborhood bully — it's largest moon, Charon, is roughly half its size. That's why Pluto got demoated.

Why is Google the best search engine?
Answer:
Google could be said to be the best search engine for the following reasons:
It relies on a simplicity that many other search engines lack.
It's fast, reliable, easy to use, user friendly.
Fewer, less noticeable ads.
The search algorithm seems to bring the most relevant items to the top.
More relevant ads.
More people use Google than any other search engine in the world, giving Google the information to improve their engine further.
Google Search can be customized, eg:
google.com (regular)
isearchpink.com (pink google)
purpoogle.com (purple google)
googlemyway.com
namegoogle.com
Basically, Google is a crawler-based engine, meaning that it has software programs designed to "crawl" the information on the Net and add it to its sizeable database. Google has a great reputation for relevant and thorough search results, and is a good first place to start when searching.
Google's home page is extremely clean and simple, loads quickly, and delivers arguably the best results of any search engine out there, mostly due to its PageRank technology and massive listings. Google also earns high marks for its maps and searches for images, videos and blog posts; you can even search inside books with Book Search. However, search experts say that no single search engine provides the most relevant results for all queries. Google is also ranked number one because more people use it than any other search engine
